Playing ice hockey in her hometown of Toronto prepared Rachel for the harsh world of acting. "I'm really competitive in auditions. I stare people down and think, 'Bring it on!'" says the 17-year-old, who's in The WB's new Birds of Prey. The tough sport also helps her maintain a healthy body image. "It's easy to get caught up in the L.A. looking-perfect thing. But I'm tall and muscular. I look at some of these other actresses and think, 'If you were on the ice, you would break in half,'" says Rachel. For now, she's hung up her skates to play Birds of Prey's Dinah, aka the Black Canary. The part has given Rachel's friends plenty of ammunition for teasing. "They call me the Blue Pigeon!" she laughs.
